About

Hi, I’m Wald Habets.

I’m a PhD student at Hasselt University, where I explore the intersection of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) and eHealth. My research focuses on applying behaviour change theory to design software that supports physical rehabilitation and dietary guidance. I’m particularly interested in how these theories can also inform the development of recommender systems.

With a computer science background, I bring a mix of technical skills with a deep focus on research methodology and user experience (UX) design to my work. I hold extensive experience in a range of research methods, from requirement analysis, interviews and focus groups and to usability and intervention studies—to ensure solutions are both effective and user-centered. I thrive on turning complex challenges into intuitive, impactful solutions.

When I’m not researching or designing, you’ll find me diving into hobbies that keep me curious and creative. I’m always open to connecting with like-minded professionals, potential collaborators, or anyone interested in the potential of technology to drive positive change.
